Some semblance of what can be described as one of first Gazettes was very much in existence in Rome. It was called Acta Diurna, often referred to as simply Acta or Diurna. It was a daily report. The contents included things that were happening in the empire such as legal proceedings, the results of trials, important announcements, and general notifications for local citizens….
