THE BOSTON MASSACRE SAGA PART ONE – BEHIND THE MEN WHO DIED ON KING STREET : THE FIRST TWO VICTIMS

The fatal event known as “The Boston Massacre” would occur March 5th, 1770. The event would spark a huge controversy and public outrage. The lives lost on that day would become one of the many factors that played into swaying popular opinion against the British crown. It is a very significant moment leading up to the American Revolution. It all began when a crowd of men started messing with British Soldiers that were stationed in Boston on King Steet. The scene is described as a group of “patriots” heckling the soldiers, this would include: throwing sticks, snowballs, and stones at the squad. The reason behind this can be easily surmised: although, is very complicated in nature. The colonists were increasingly unhappy with British authority and rule. The reasons behind this are vast. The result would lead to the British firing upon these men. Five civilians would be killed, and six more would be heavily injured. Who were these men?
